A Different Reason — Bentonville Community Church

I wish being a Christian meant everything bad in your life suddenly got better. Following Jesus means your sins are forgiven and the shame of your past is taken away! This is good news, but Christians aren’t immune from suffering or persecution. They do, however, have the promise of Christ’s presence in the midst of it. Peter writes this to those who were suffering:

“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” (1 Peter 3:9)
