New Year

Christ has been born! Christ has brought glimpses of a new age to come here today! This new age that we read about in the book of Revelation is one to be excited about. In Revelation 21 we read about a new heaven and a new earth that is to come. One where “he will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more.” This new age doesn't have to be something we wait for, but Jesus brought it to us today. In the book of Matthew, Jesus tells us what our roles are in this new age. To feed the hungry, give drinks to the thirsty, welcome the stranger, clothe the naked, and visit the sick and imprisoned. We are called to ministry to those who have been marginalized in society. This is how we can live in the new age today.
