Advent: Messy Love

We are loved. No matter the mess we are in, whether it be of our own making or someone else’s. Maybe it’s even a mess that has been created because we are seeking to be faithful to God, and the people around us don’t see the full picture. God is present with us in the midst of it all! So on the final Sunday of Advent, we look ahead to the knowledge that we are loved. We have hope in the face of uncertainty because we are loved by God. No matter where we are, no matter what lies ahead, this is the heart of the message: “For God so loved the world, that he sent his Son” into our messes, that we might know and be known by him.
