Identity - Discovering Our Spiritual DNA - It's Not About Us

Everything is about me! It's widely believed that our extreme self-centeredness is something we eventually grow out of. The truth is we're born into the world, and we don't know any other way.

Following Jesus requires a shift. The focus of our life must move from me to Him. Life can no longer be about me, but it must be all about God and his mission in the world.

In 2 Corinthians, Paul is writing to a group of Christians who are figuring this out. They were making a shift in their priorities and how they viewed their place in the world. Corinth was a challenging place to do ministry and a difficult church. I'm encouraged, however, because they did it through the power of the Holy Spirit. If they can...we can too!
