Soundtrack for a Savior - Free at Last

Have you ever heard of “the year of jubilee”? It was set up by God after the Israelites were liberated from Egypt. It was a time in which every debt was canceled and every slave was set free. It was supposed to happen every 50 years, and even though it was decreed by God, a year of jubilee never happened.

Jesus comes along in Luke 4 and proclaims that the year of jubilee is fulfilled in him. You’d think that would be a message people were ready to hear. Not so much.

What about us? Are we ready to hear the good news of Jubilee? More importantly, are we ready to be God’s agents of jubilee in the world?
