Trust: When Things Are Not As They Seem - Week 1 // August 11, 2024
This week at BCC we started a new series simply titled, “Trust”. In this series we will be exploring radical trust in God in all circumstances. This is a not a trust that is always without fear or doubt, but rather a choice of trust in a God who has our best end in sight. Join us for week one of “Trust”.
Theme Verse: Proverbs 3:5 (NASB)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.”
Things to consider as you listen:
Trust in God is a day by day decision.
When our own understanding is misleading, we choose to trust the one who’s always working.
God Is in the midst of the always-developing story of humanity.
This side of Heaven evil and good will always intermingle, but God’s purposes will also always prevail.
Unchecked pride can lead only to disaster.
Sometimes what feels like harm is actually a gift of grace.
God acts with the whole scope of the human story in mind.
When it doesn’t make sense, get BLANK.
I wonder how God is BLANK his story into the world right now?
God sees beyond the moment and see the trajectory.
