The Church Embodied - Week 2 // October 6, 2024

Following up from the first week of the series, “The Church Embodied”, Pastor Jeni continues on the theme of who we are to be as the Church in our community and our world. In week two, Pastor Jeni takes us through Deuteronomy 10:12-22 & Genesis 12:1-3 and urges us to combat the loneliness epidemic by being together in community, loving your neighbor, and allowing God to work through us to the least of these.

Things to consider as you listen:

  • The call to love & obey God is something we do together - and even in that we are profoundly no alone!

  • Before it’s ever a strategy for reaching the lost, obeying God is aimed at the well-being of the people.

  • A community living in obedience to God is God’s best for all of creation.

  • When a community of people truly love God & love others, all are better for it.

  • Their chosen status was not only for their own benefit, but also so that others might find belonging within God’s community - especially the most vulnerable.

  • Our together life of worship & love tells a story about our God.
