Organic Disciples: Relational Impact

We don’t know a whole lot about Philip, one of Jesus’s first disciples, but the few speaking lines he has in the Bible stand out to me. After Jesus calls him, he immediately issues an invitation to his friend Nathanael, simply asking him to, “Come and see.” Just as Philip’s daily life was an open invitation for the world to “come and see” what he had experienced in Jesus, our lives are to be oriented in the same way. We are called to “relational impact.” Our daily lives proclaim the good news of Jesus in all we think, do, and say.
