Rev. Amadeu Nunes is the pastor of the Edson Passos Church is the Nazarene in Rio De Janiero, Brazil. Since becoming the pastor in 2000, this congregation has grown to 800 in attendance and launched several different ministries to engage the diverse needs of their community.

With a strong commitment to small groups as a means of evangelism and discipleship, they have begun over 50 groups that focus on learning the Bible and serving their community. As a national leader of the Church of the Nazarene in Brazil, Amadeu is active in church planting, leadership development, and ministerial education.

He is married to Renata, and they have 2 children: Leticia (15) and Pedro (12).
